Statement of Purpose

Qibla College is committed to ensure that the educational and religious needs of its students are met within the context of the Islamic Australian community of which it is an integral part.

Where is Qibla college?

Qibla College is a private Muslim school' situated at Minto Mosque, 44-48 Westmoreland Street, Leumeah, Campbelltown within the grounds of Suburban Islamic Association. The school draws its students from the greater Campbelltown area.

Because of its proximity to the mosque within the grounds, Qibla College, with the commitment of the Principal/ Administrator and the teachers ensure that both the educational and religious needs of the students are met on a daily basis. Students make daily Thuhr prayers and attend the mosque for Jumu-ah on Fridays.

 

What does the school offer?

* Years K to 6

School curricula are aimed to meet the needs of the students as well as the NSW Board of Studies. Curriculum components include English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Visual Arts, Human Society and its Environment, Physical Education including Sport, Health and Computer Literacy.

Religious components include Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Ethics and Values.

Qibla College has a growing library including computer-based material. Audio-visual equipment has been set up in the library area.

What are the Long'Term Goals of Qibla College?

The long-term goal of Qibla College is to be a recognised private Muslim school in the area of Campbelltown, of which its students, their parents, the teachers and all other stakeholders will be proud.

Qibla College will provide opportunities to its students to enable them to:

1. Reach their maximum potential in all academic areas

2. Develop confidence in their abilities to make lslamic decisions and to demonstrate initiative.

3. Understand and be committed to their individual rights as responsible members of society

4. Become proud and contributing members of the Islamic community in Australia.

What are the fees?

There is a standard fee per student payable in advance in instalments. See table below.

1st child $250/term -$1000/year

2nd child $225/term -$900/year

3rd child and more is free

Fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each term.

Uniform.

*The Qibla College school uniforms should be worn at all times. The basic school uniform are as follows:

Boys Uniform: * Bottle-Green Pants. * White Shirt. * White Socks. * Black School Shoes

Girls Uniform: * Green Check Dress * White Blouse. * White Socks. * Black School Shoes.

Sports Uniform: * Green Tracksuit ($50.00), available from the school office only.
